Man City are 11/4 favourites to win Champions League 2022-2023 (latest odds)

MANCHESTER CITY are already 11/4 favourites, according to bookmakers' odds, to win their first ever Champions League trophy this season.

Their latest odds put them well ahead of 2021-2022 Champions League winners Real Madrid, as well as their English rivals Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs.

Prediction: I think this season's Champions League is more open than the winners odds suggest. Sure, Manchester City have significantly boosted their chances with the signing of Erling Haaland. But they've still not yet won a UEFA Champions League, and their 11/4 odds probably over-exaggerate their possibility of winning this season.

Betting Tip: Don't bet on Man City yet. Wait until at least the knockout stages, when their odds will still be similar to now, and we'll know more about their possible route to the final and the strength of their rivals.

Alternative Bet: Liverpool at 6/1, Real Madrid at 12/1, or Chelsea at 16/1 are all much more attractive bets. However, again you should hold back until the end of the group stages in December, because their odds are unlikely to shift much and we'll then be able to better assess each of their chances.
